Ma Cabane en Gaspésie is a long-matured family project by Gino Ouellet, the maple syrup producer, as well as by his daughters Lincey and Geneviève and his wife Michelle. The family maple grove extends over a total area of 1,200 acres of land, with a potential of more than 70,000 notches. This is where the sap is collected to supply the entire annual production of Ma Cabane in Gaspésie. The maple grove is nestled on the end of the Chics-Chocs Mountains, bordering the municipalities of Saint-Damase and Saint-Noël, in the Matapédia Valley. This location gives the maple syrup a special flavour thanks to the composition of the soil and the altitude of the facilities. The owner’s experience in the forestry sector, in addition to his concern for the environment, encourages a respect for nature in a context of ecological and sustainable development. In addition, it is possible to enjoy this enchanting site by renting cottages for lovers of outdoor recreation, hunting and fishing.
Ma Cabane en Gaspésie is two shops, one in Mont-Joli, where it all began and the other in Rimouski. As soon as we get inside the shop, we are immediately sucked by the enticing smell of a sugar shack, and inspired by the multitude of products. Ma Cabane en Gaspésie is more than the love of maple, it is also the passion to transform the first resource into a sublime product for the gourmets, for amateurs and connoisseurs of maple products. It is therefore with great pleasure that we open the doors of our shops in Mont-Joli and Rimouski, in a warm, inspiring setting, a trip back in time . . .
Today, it is the 4th generation that, benefiting from the expertise accumulated over the decades, opens the doors of its shops where all the smells and flavours get married. Ma Cabane en Gaspésie presents its maple products, as well as a “Coup de Coeur” selection of gourmet products from here and also from the Iles-de-la-Madeleine. Concerned about customer satisfaction, the team at Ma Cabane en Gaspésie offers a variety of quality products and an extraordinary selection of gourmet products; everybody works to diversify the products while creating a range aimed at the satisfaction of all palates. The treasures of Ma Cabane en Gaspésie are made from 100% pure Gaspesian maple syrup.Ma Cabane en Gaspésie est un projet familial longuement mûri qui regroupe ses filles Lincey et Geneviève, sa conjointe Michelle et Gino Ouellet, l’acériculteur.
